How to Use Your Productivity Heatmap

1. Log Your Productivity
Click on any day in the calendar on the "Heatmap" tab. A small window will appear allowing you to select a productivity score (1-5) and add optional notes for that day.
  • Score 1 (Very Low): Significantly unproductive, many distractions, little achieved.
  • Score 2 (Low): Below average productivity, some key tasks missed or progress slow.
  • Score 3 (Medium): An average day, accomplished an expected amount of work.
  • Score 4 (High): Productive day, focused, achieved more than usual.
  • Score 5 (Very High): Exceptionally productive, deep work, significant accomplishments.
Be consistent with how you rate your days.
2. Visualize Patterns
The calendar will color-code each day based on your logged score. Over time, this helps you visualize patterns:
  • Are certain days of the week consistently more or less productive?
  • Do you see trends over weeks or months?
  • How do holidays or specific events (noted in your comments) affect your productivity?
3. Use the Summary
The "Summary" tab provides statistics for the currently viewed month, such as your average productivity score and how many days fell into each productivity level. This can offer a quick overview of your monthly performance.
4. Reflect and Adjust
Use the insights from your heatmap and notes to understand what factors contribute to your high productivity days and what might be causing low productivity. This can help you make adjustments to your routines, environment, or planning to improve overall effectiveness.
5. Export Your Data
You can download a PDF of the current month's heatmap and data for your records or further analysis.
