Using Your Smart Break Reminder

1. Configure Your Intervals (Settings Tab)
Set your preferred durations for work sessions, short breaks, and long breaks. Also, define how many work sessions you want to complete before taking a long break (similar to the Pomodoro Technique where it's often 4 sessions).
2. Start Your Work (Timer Tab)
Click "Start Work". The timer will count down your work session. Focus on your task during this time.
3. Take Your Break
When the work timer ends, the tool will remind you to take a break (short or long based on your settings). Click "Start Short/Long Break" (this happens automatically by default after a work session). During the break, step away from your work, stretch, hydrate, or do something relaxing.
4. Repeat the Cycle
After the break timer ends, you'll be prompted to start your next work session (this also happens automatically). Continue this cycle.
Controls:
  • Pause/Resume: You can pause the timer during a work or break session if needed.
  • Skip Break: If you're in deep flow and a short break feels disruptive, you can choose to skip it and continue to the next work session (though regular breaks are recommended!).
  • Reset Cycle: Resets the current timer and the count of sessions towards your next long break. Useful if you get interrupted or want to start fresh.
Benefits of Regular Breaks (e.g., Pomodoro Technique)
  • Improved focus and concentration during work intervals.
  • Reduced mental fatigue and burnout.
  • Increased overall productivity by maintaining energy levels.
  • Better management of distractions.
Daily Log
The "Daily Log" tab keeps a record of your completed work and break sessions for the selected date. You can review this to see how your day was structured and export it as a PDF.
